A Letter from Teia Collier, Capitol Moms Founder
Dear Reader,
As the days grow warmer, I start to get Cherry Blossom fever. I love it when the city
turns all pink and fragrant with the scent of the blossoms. The kids can play
outside, the festivals start, people leave some of the DC wardrobe of black and
navy behind as the sun comes out. It's fabulous -- life comes to the city and to my
house. I pull out my dresses, try to get fresh flowers and start to bring brighter
colors into the house -- what a difference a duvet cover makes.
On the horizon, we will be heading to the Kite and Cherry Blossom Festivals. And
for CM is the upcoming Spring Moms Making It Work Get-Together and May's
Celebrate Mama! We are in the process of planning something fun -- a way to get
moms that are working their own businesses together to network, chit-chat and
relax a little. In the next week or so, we should have the location wrapped up and
then more details will be posted. If you would like to take part, sponsor the event or

Also, a quick thank you to those that sent presents, food and emails after Sollie's
birth. He is doing great -- just over 8lbs. now and big sister, Z is too.
